best.shoe.ever Jul 16, 2010 These shoes are adorable, they match a ton of stuff, and best of all- they can be dressed up or dressed down. I bought my first pair of these in black a year ago and just recently got a pair in brown. They are pretty much the only shoes I wear! However, be sure to break them in before wearing them for long periods of time!!
Hideous! Jul 08, 2010 These just arrived, and I can't believe how ugly they are! Just as clunky and unattractive as more "traditional" Birkenstocks. Return, return, return!
Sweet feet Jun 28, 2010 I was looking for a more stylish, comfortable flip-flop and came across the Gizeh. I haven't worn Birkenstocks for years, but I finally purchased a pair in the golden brown color. I loved them instantly. They were comfortable from day one and broke in easily. I love the bronze color of the straps. I have gotten so many compliments on them.
Best Sandals on the planet. Sep 12, 2009 Bought these for my wife. She had a pair of Arizona's before. She likes these better. She says they are more comfortable. I think they look stylish too! Of course, we are Birkenstock fans already. If you have not owned Birkenstock's before then you are in for a treat. Mind you, the first week or two might be a bit difficult as your foot and the sandal adapt to each other. After that you will not want to wear anything else.
Need to Break In! May 18, 2009 I have no arch and basically ANY kind of shoe gives me blisters and is just a waste of money and it's frustrating! So this looked promising. I hadn't work Birks since my college hippie days, and these silver Gizas looked a little more polished than other styles. At first, they turned out to be MURDER. The toe thing hit just wrong and almost bruised my feet in between my toes and did give me blisters. But I started wearing them just for 1 hour periods around the house and yard, and after a couple weeks, they are finally broken in and feeling good! I think it's worth it and I've gotten compliments on the "rich hippie" bohemian look .. The red patent leathers look good, too.
