Purchased these on Amazon after I was unable to find new similar styles this season at my local Macy's and Dillards. The shoe is comfortable and the price I paid on Amazon around $25 cheaper - an end of season price. In my area, it's an 8% bonus not to have to pay sales tax. These run generally true to size, or perhaps a half size small.
If you haven't worn the gladiator style shoe by Steve Madden, let me tell you how comfortable they are! They zip up the back for easy on/off. I have a black pair, a copper pair and now a pewter pair. They generally last a little longer than one summer if you rotate them.... but I LIVE in them. They are cool both in look and in temperature - my dogs can breathe! These are fancy enough to wear to the office in the hot summer and still go out in the evening wearing the same shoes.
They need virtually no break-in time and won't give you blisters if the straps feel comfortable when you put them on. The flat heel means you can walk the mall or the fair, or any vast social setting without having your dogs bark the whole day.
Bottom line: Though these are not my favorite style: studded; I would buy more Madden gladiator sandals in a heartbeat! I just wish I could keep my daughter from wearing them so they'd last longer.

By Diana A. Deaver Loved this sandal. It was comfortable from the first day. I am a wedding photographer and I needed something comfortable but elegant that I could wear for hours during my weddings. This sandal lasted me for an entire year and it became my favorite sandal that I wore everywhere. I am about to order a second pair.
